These regulatory projects have been proposed and approved by the Board to begin the rulemaking process. The status of each project in the rulemaking process is recorded in this section. Inquiries related to these rulemaking projects should be directed to the Executive Director of the Board at director@lsbvm.org. The rulemaking review process from Notice of Intent to a promulgated Final Rule can take 6 to 12 months [R.S. 49:968(H)(1)]. The Louisiana Register publishes more details in its APA Guide and Rulemaking Timetables, which gives a list of various actions and steps that must be completed through the entire rulemaking process.

2025-11 ~ LAC 46LXXXV.Chapter 15 – Registered Equine Dentists (Re-promulgation)

[10-02-25] — In accordance with the APA, R.S. 49:950 et seq. and the 2022 LA Administrative Code Review, Board conducted a review of Chapter 15 and intends to notify public with re-promulgation of all sections in Chapter 15 as is.
