Web Accessibility Statement
At the Louisiana Board of Veterinary Medicine (the “Board”), we are committed to digital inclusivity and accessibility and strive to make our website accessible and usable to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities, to ensure that people with disabilities have full and equal opportunities to access and benefit from the government services offered by our agency.
It is our commitment to comply with the Web Accessibility Compliance Policy and Procedure Memorandum (PPM 74). PPM 74 is based on the final rule issued by U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), which establishes technical standards for web and mobile app accessibility under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Our Commitment
We actively work to improve the accessibility of our website by following recognized standards and best practices, specifically WCAG 2.2 AA. Our efforts include ongoing evaluation, testing, and updating of our website features by the Board’s Executive Director and IT Team to enhance usability and accessibility. We aim to comply with applicable legal requirements such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Legal Disclaimers and Limitations
While we strive to make our website fully accessible, it may not be possible to achieve 100% accessibility due to technical constraints, third-party content, or other practical limitations. Certain content or functionalities on our website may be provided by third parties, and we cannot guarantee that all third-party content is fully accessible or complies with accessibility standards.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing journey, and we continuously seek to enhance the experience for all visitors. We regularly review feedback and emerging accessibility technologies to ensure that we keep improving our site.
